Whats wrong with my cell phone?

okay so i tried to charge my cell phone, but it wouldnt charge :[ i got my phone on may 4th and its from my mom's friend, because it was her old phone. so idk if its just old and needs a new battery or what?! about a month ago my friend told me to l**k my battery then put it back in then i would get another bar. it worked but now my phone turns off randomly. please help!!

it sounds like you need a new phone for one. but you can try cleaning out the plug in for the charger, i had that problem before. if that doesn't work you should be able to go to the company website or call them and order another battery. if all else fails, you should be able to buy a new phone. i had t-moble a few years back and had problems with my phone, all i had to do was pay for a new phone and add another year to my contract.

It may be the battery but it may be a software issue with the phone as well. let the tech at your carrier look at the phone.  If its a batter then check ebay there are always good deals on there for accessories.

you can probably buy a new battery for less than 50 dollars depending on the model of your phone some could be as cheap as 10 dollars
