Whats wrong with my chicken?

Question

my pet chickens live in a nice big, clean hut, and are allowed out during the day, and are put back in at night...lately, one of them has been under the weather, not moving much, not eating or drinking, and going to sleep wherever she is stood...her comb is floppy too, which is unusual...

she has been sick like this before, but got better before we could find out what was wrong, and then another chicken got sick, but got better within a day...this chicken has been sick for the past week, and i have no idea how to help her :(

Make sure she is not dehydrated.  

Check for bugs.  I had an outbreak of chicken lice in my coop once, and it was not pretty.  I think they got if passed to them by the crows that hang out by my chickens.  One of my hens got infected with them really badly, and she was showing most of those symptoms that you are explaining.  Just pick her up and pull some feathers back (don't pull them out) so you can see her skin.  If you see little bugs crawling on her, you have an infestation.  Check near her vent area, and near her neck.  If she has bugs, you need to go to the nearest feed store and buy lice/mites poultry dust or spray.

speaking from personal experiences you probly can t do much unless you have a local vet that will see chicken, ( we do).sometimes chickens and ducks get sick or hurt and you just have to give it time, she may get better on her own.we actually had one that we had to give antibiotics too

Oh no. This might be bad. I have chickens too, but this has never happened to them.

Is she always in one place (in her nest?). Then she might be brooding, even if the eggs won't hatch.
