Question:

Whats wrong with my fish's tail?

My goldfish's tail was fine just a few weeks ago, it was so white and pretty and flowy...then a few days ago I looked at it and I saw that it was bent in the middle, it has a little crease. Then the day after, I saw in the little bent part had turned orange and from that crease there was a thin orange line going up to the end of the tail where it meets the body....why is this? my fish is also not alone, i have another goldfish living with it, too.

  1. I am not sure about bending..but the orange line..could just be a color change...my oranda did that too...she has white flowy fins..but then she developed orange streaks on them..she is healthy..just a color chnage...observe closely..thts what I did...try and see if there is something wrong...also test the water...

  2. it is probably from the other goldfish

  3. What i fear is that your that particular gold fish might be sick from a type of disease that affect the fin. Try to remove it from the tank before other fish get this illness. Transfer it to other tank and try to get some medication for it.
