Whats wrong with my hamster?

Question

I put her with the male that she normally likes and as usual the male started to mount her, but this time instead of going along with it she turned around and clawed him and started to fight him.

Whats wrong with her?

P.S. I am a proffesional hamster breeder so their is no concern of me breeding them.

No effence but, if u were a proffesional then you would know the answer to this question because it is very common...

  For one, it could be a number of things,

1) have you put her in there recently, she could already be pregnant. if she is, then she wont let the male mount her any more untill she has her next litter.

2)  just like rabbits, it sometimes takes a while for them to get "2 know each other" even if she has met him before.

  Just put them together again. eventually she WILL agree to let him mate with her.

sounds like you put them together before and they have mated before... she may be pregnant, and not want to mate anymore

She just isnt in the mood to have 'it' right now. I have seen similar behavior in my guinea pigs ( i know they are different animals but it is the same principal - hhaha - like it is in humans too when wives have had enough)

It is just a temporary thing. She will improve in time.

If your a professional hamster breeder then why don't you know WHY she's not allowing him to mount her?  Do your research...Y!A is not research.

She's not allowing him to mount her because she's not in her estrous.
