  1. Ok first of all I agree with the other respondents who said that family guy and south park are not suitable for kids your age. God knows when I would feel okay with my boys watching that maybe 16/17 :P

Also we all know you can simulate 'adult situations' in Sims so again I can see where he is coming from on that front to. I think maybe his reaction may have been more in protecting you as you were playing with 2 boys and maybe they may have acted inappropriately. Also maybe had something to do with the 4 year old absorbing things too old for him? Possibly he has had some exposure to an incestuous situation or been taken advantage of in an inappropriate way in a similar situation- Who knows...just a thought. He may have his own issues that impact on his parenting....realistically as a parent I know from experience issues in your upbringing do to some extent influence the things that you consider to be a big deal for your kids. Hope this helps :)

  2. Well Family Guy and Southpark are not little kid cartoons.  They are made for adults.  A lot of parents dont want their children watching them.  As for the Sims and Sims 2, some parents dont want their children sitting on their butts all day playing on the computer, plus a 4 year old is too young to be on a computer.  Balls really is not a swear word, and your sitting here at 13 saying "WTF".  I would just leave it be and let them raise their children how they want to.

  3. well i can understand with the sims, south park, and family guy.i am 14 and dont watch those shows and wouldnt let my kids watch those shows either BUT house is FINE!i dont get why he wouldnt let them play HOUSE!

  4. nothing. sounds like he's just really protective.

  5. that does sound rather odd...

i can understand the southpark and family guy i suppose...

but definitely not the sims and house...

maybe he thinks other things are going on or something?

  6. well those games and shows are not appropriate for a child especially one younger then 15

  7. Well I don't understand what is wrong with playing house if you aren't doing anything sexual but I won't let my children play the Sims or watch those tv shows. I don't feel they are for children. There are mature things in Sims such as WooHoo and you don't have to have good ethics in the game. Southpark is a horrible tv show for anyone to watch. It is supposed to be humurous but not for kids. Family Guy is more of an adult cartoon too.

  8. there all guys and the father is very odd that is the problem .. guys generally dont play house after the age of four

  9. Playing House leads to groping, incest and s*x. Don't play it unless you are supervised.

I played house many times and I regret it, never again.

  10. ummm...nothing.  Actually, its healthy especially for young children to play house.  They imitate what they see, and develop and learn certain social skills.   I dont know what this guys problem is.  Maybe when he was a child, some serious stuff happened to him.  He is probably scared to have his kids exposed to anything that might xreate curiosity.   Theres really nothing you can do but to respect his wishes.   But, you did nothing wrong I assure you.

Oh, about the sims,  some sims games have adult themes.   In some of the video games the characters are supposed to find a mate and get married and things like that, so it may not be suitable for the children under 13.

  11. When you are around other people's children, you have to respect their wishes as to what their children are allowed to do or not allowed to do. Sometimes we will never understand why and we don't always have to.  Sorry, dear, but looking at the language you use, and at your age, perhaps you should focus more on age appropriate language and spelling classes more so than why your cousin's father doesn't approve of your roll playing.
