Whats wrong with stripey highlights?

I always hear people saying that stripey highlights, like these, http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2314/2457317581_17d4682db4_m.jpg

are bad. I think its very pretty, and i want the same exact thing. Would that be unfashionable?

They aren't necessarily bad but most people want their hair to look natural. They want subtle highlights. That doesn't happen in nature. If it's something you like then go for it.

it is a little unfashionable it doesnt look natural nor professional if your trying to get a job but if you want to be a little different then thats okay

Its chavvy and grows out really bad, like a line of colour. The only way i'd do it is with loads of different colours of stripes.
