Whats you opinion of the Honda Rebel?

Question

I am thinking about a small motorcycle to use as a commuter and light pleasure riding. Not a Harley guy and am not interested in a big bike. What is your opinion of the Honda 250 Rebel? Any other small bike opinions?

Rock Solid, last forever with a little care. Great starter but most Riders start lusting for more power which is why there always several on Craigslist and Ebay.

The Hona Rebel is a fun bike to ride and very dependable.

Another option would be the Kawasaki 250 Ninja - same power and weight - sportbike looks and handling.

they are nice little bikes very reliable if taken care of properly and good for one up riding on freeways and highways or even 2 up around town

Great little bike.  And you can use it on the highways, no prob.  It and its sister the Nighthawk are used in most MSF Basic Rider Courses.

You can always go up later.

It is an excellent small bike, one of the best. Look at one a couple years old, clean and less than 15K miles. You'll save some dough.

I've heard that people take them on the freeway but I sure wouldn't do it. I guess if you don't go on the freeway then it could be a great commuter. I've heard a lot of people say they are a great starter bike. Myself, I would prefer at least 400cc's for a starter.
