  1. present, JAYE GEARING,for the England Karate Kan, based at New Malden, Surrey

  2. From Past to present.

    Miyamoto Musashi

    Ip Man

    William Cheung

    Kieth Maza

Many are not on this list because the list is to long. These are the ones I know the most about.

Some I know personaly and of course I'm Old but not old enough to know them all personaly.

  3. Kimura, Oyama, Lee, Lebell, and I will say the Gracies.

  4. WHAT?!? No Chuck Norris? : P

My list would be similar to the Zenlife's list except I'd put Musashi first and put Morehei Ueshiba instead of Takeda, because I believe the student surpassed the teacher in this case.

By the way, the list for me isn't about who is the toughest, but rather who had greatly influenced the martial arts for me both past and present. And for me Musashi, Ueshiba, Oyama, Lee and LeBell greatly influenced my views of the martial arts. I'd put Gracie on the list, but since I haven't trained in BJJ and therefore have no claim of any influence from that art, I don't think that would be honest of me to say so. But I'd also like to add Muhammad Ali on the list as the no.6, since boxing though considered by most as only a sport, still greatly influenced me in my training.
