Whats your best tip on supressing your appetite?

i am hungry all the time... i also emotional eat. i live by myself and am not good with the lonelyness nd so i sit on the couch and just eat.

how can i stop?

  1. get a pet, a cat is easy enough to look after and makes a good friend when its in hte house, or a dog if you want a constant compainion, if you dont have a very big garden or you live in a flat then get a small dog like a shitzu, they dont need as much exercise as larger dogs

    as for being hungry, eat cereal, im eating cheerios right now


  2. Dont Buy the food

    just buy healthy and drink pleanty of water

    most hunger pains are dehidration

    also go out and join groups to destract your self

Sometimes feeling hungry all the time is caused by something of a catch 22 situation.  To avoid getting fat people choose low sugar/ low calorie/ low fat foods.  The problem with these, as with processed/ fast foods in general is that they end up making you feel hungry, even after just eating and so you eat more.  This is not a good cycle to be in and if this is you then you can break it by changing what you eat.

    First step is to clear all the rubbish food out of your house.  Then to buy only good and healthy food.  Preparing the food takes time.  This is good because it will take up some of your couch time and even if you nibble, the food will do you good.

    The bonus is that forcing yourself to learn to cook and healthily gives you an opportunity to invite someone round to eat.

  4. the best way to curb hunger is to drink a 1ltr bottle of lil chill water when ever u feel hungry. Also when u do feel u have to munch on something then always have fruits around, if u get bored of eating jus plain fruits then make a fruit salad of sorts & hav it or even cud have a light milk shake made of a single or two fruits. one its healthy & two the time u take to prepare ur food make u less hungry. try not adding any kinda sweetening products to ur fruit mixes. have fun... eat healthy.....

  5. get up and do something you have to distract yourself then you will forget about eating.  exercise is also good, im always less hungry after ive done some good exercise and then even if you are still hungry it doesn't matter so much cos you've just done exercise!

  6. Drink plenty of water and only eat when you're actually hungry.

    Get out there and do stuff - walking, take up a hobby or sport, anything to get your bum off the sofa and help you meet new people.

    Fill your fridge with healthy food that it's ok to snack on - loads of fruit and veg, diet sodas, low calorie/fat ice lollies etc. so that if you do have the snacking urge, you've only got good things to eat.

  7. I brush my teeth when i feel like that. The minty taste puts you off eating and its doing good for your teeth as well.
