That the word "excellence" has become a rote word.  One sees it on every business and educational website.  "We strive for excellence!"  "Our motto is excellence!"  "We achieve nothing less than excellence!"  Then you closely examine their so-called excellence and find that it's just another average business made up of average people regurgitating average phrases.

Biggest pet peave is a computer that dies when your in the middle of writing a research paper. the info is usually not recoverable and profs…well they really care.
