Whats your fave small SUV Highlander, CRV or Rav 4? Looking to buy:?

We need a small to med suv with excellent safety ratings, awesome mpg, virtually no chance of rollover, comfortable seats 5 or more. Whats your favorite????

the Highlander is a bigger and more expensive vehicle than the other 2. It's a great choice and gets good mpg for it's size.

if your choosing between a Rav4 and a CR-V

the Cr-V is better.

the Rav4's 4 cyl engine is underpowered and the V6 pushes the price quickly to $30K. The rear mounted spare tire is a hazard, if nudged from behind the rear glass shatters. The rear gate swings out instead of opening up.

the Cr-v has a smooth 4 cyl engine that gets good mpg on Hwy an fair mpg city. It has plenty of power when you need it.

if your considering a larger SUV

look at GMC Acadia / Saturn Outlook

um the highlander is expensive, the rav 4 gas millage is  major thumbs down, and im not familiar with CRV's. sorry

Even though I am not a big fan of a crossover vehicle, which is what these cars are, I would chose the Highlander.

I like the Saturn Vue(also available as a Hybrid), cheaper than the others, is American(given the state of our economy, buying American, when possible, helps us all in the long run IMO), and is pleasing to the eyes(at least mine).
