Well, to keep in a tank, it would have to be a betta fish.  They are so beautiful and come in all colores and are easy to care for and they are so intelligent and trainable.  Mine jumps up and takes food off of my finger and dances for me and I just adore him.  And you only need 5 gallons for one.  How easy is that?!  My guppies are gorgeous and I love them, but they just aren't as smart as my bettas.  And my plecos, cool as they are, just aren't as personable.  They just want to eat and hide all the time.

For wild fish, I'd have to go with a Great White Shark.  I just love a shark that can do those high flying attacks like they do when they go after seals!  Talk about your awesome predator!

For fish to eat, I'd have to say swordfish.  Swordfish are delicious.  Only it seems to me that they keep getting smaller and smaller, so I have sworn off eating swordfish because I think they are overfished.  *sigh*  So I'm sticking to salmon for a while.  Salmon's pretty good too.

I have had all kinds of fishes. My favorite is flowerhorn, every one of them has a different pattern, male has humps while the female doesn't. They are very friendly cichlids, you may sometimes touch their hump with your hand, but if you put a small fish in, it will beat it to death.

I agree with Loralee, love fried catfish.....but to name my favorite fish is hard to answer, I like pretty much all types..I really like the ones that I can keep alive!

Bettas cuz i can keep em alive o.o but i also LOVE the look of goldies and koi ! funny, most fishlvers decide to go for exotic types, but i choose the simplist ones! lol... simplicity is beauty to me! =]

Halibut.  It is delicious!  Especialy when grilled with lemon, butter and dill....yummy!

I've also baked salmon with a dijon mustard, tiny bit of honey and buttery bread crumbs on top.  It was actually waaaaaay better than I expected it to be...

My fav tropical fish are bettas, bala sharks, and gouramis.  I guess you can say I have a thing for fish from malaysia/indonesia/thailand.

In the wild I love sharks, all sharks and even wanted to be a marine biologist at one point so I could go out and study them.
