  1. the kiwi bird of australia

not to be confused with the kiwi fruit

    that is delicious

  2. A one legged kangaroo.

    No. seriously...

    The Lyre bird.

I saw a documentary of this creature.

Apparently it can imitate any sound it hears in its natural surroundings. The program showed it imitating a chain saw , that it must have heard at some time, and sounds of a 35mm camera shutter, even a camera with an automatic wind on.

The program was a BBC program narrated by David Attenborough

  3. Kinkajous, they are awesome and you can keep them as pets as long as you have the 1500 to shell out for one. They kind of look like a cross between a monkey and a mere cat. They are native to South America where they are called "Bear Monkies". Coolest pet i've ever seen besides a Capuchin Monkey.

  4. ostriches or a western meadowlark. they are pretty cool......

  5. The Echidna - our Australian native "Spiny Anteater".

    Edit:

The Kiwi is a native New Zealand bird. It's not found in Australia.

The platypus is not the only "egg-laying mammal" or monotreme.

There are two monotremes left in the world one is the platypus the other is the echidna.

  6. a sloth... theyre soo slow that moss grows on them! lol and the leaves they eat have a drug-like effect. what silly creatures

  7. One of my favorite animals is the Okapi.

Here's a quick fact: okapis are actually related to the giraffe.

This is a pic of one...they're wicked cool.

  9. The Platapus it has parts of around 5 different animals i believe!

  10. a Liger...it's a cross between a lion and a tiger.  hehe no just kidding. I think bonobo monkeys are pretty interesting.

  11. An Ibex.....also found in Himalayan region.

  12. The duck-billed platypus of Australia. It looks like a cross between a duck and an otter. It is the only mammal that lays eggs and one of the very few that is venomous.  If that's not weird, I don't know what is.

  13. You have to love the......PLATYPUS......that little guy didnt have a fighting chance when it came to looking normal.

He was a cross of a few animals all thrown together.

Sort of a Beaver, Duck, furry little guy that lays eggs to boot.

    Now that is neat !!

  14. Gopher. just say the name over in your head five times fast and you'll understand

  15. Antarctic transparent jellyfish!
