  3. Fall becuase of the nice crisp air and the feeling

  4. Any season that lends itself to being out and taking action. It is much easier to build things and get things done in the spring summer and fall than in the winter.

Although, we all need a break, so winter has it's place.

  5. SUMMER

  6. summer, cause it's nice and sunny and u get to go swimming and bikeriding and goin to the beach, and my b-day is in the summer!!! and summer vacation

  7. winter- skiing, and I like the cold air to.

  8. I absolutely LOVE Fall. :)  I'm happiest that time of year.

  9. monsoon

  10. winter

  11. Oh I love Fall.  The warm days, cool nights, beautiful leaves and going to football games that time of year.  Ahh, I can't wait.

  12. Fall.

Although I live in Hawaii for the past 20-odd years, and we only have one season....Summer...

  13. I love the Autumn.  When nature pulls out her paintbrush, and turns all the leaves vivid colors.  The air turns crisp, and frosts make the grass crunchy.

I watch the Trumpeter Swans fly in great white V's to land in the pastures and fields around me to overwinter.

The songbirds that stay have turned all fluffy and fat.  My animals have all started to shead, and get the wooly  coats for winter....but in Autumn their coats still look like velvet.

All the harvest is in, and safely stored in the cellar, or put up in the pantry.  A full larder gives me the same warm fuzzy feeling I supose it gives a squirrel.  Even better is when I go out to the barn, which will be filled to the rafters will sweet smelling alfalfa hay.

My does (goats) will be all fat with the summer grasses, and blackberries they have been consuming.  Their bellies will be getting huge with their pregnancies, as they get ready to drop their second set of kids for the year.  They will lay about in social groups on the bright clean straw in their shelter, chewing their cud.  I'll know they are happy and content, because goats hum when perfectly at ease.

The lawn will be mowed just one last time, giving off the wonderful herbal mint tea smell, because of all the mint that has invaded the lawn.

The garden will be put to rest, with a thick layer of mulch, and some of the winter garden plants will be coming into their own.

The chickens in the orchard will be thrilled with the fallen fruit we didn't get picked.  They too will be fat with all the bounty of berries and bugs from late summer, early autumn.

I'll be sad when the frost kills all the dragonflies, and drives the bats to winter roosts.  But the owls will be that much easier to see on the crisp moonlite autumn nights.

Autumn brings the fog rolling in from the ocean.  You can stand in the middle of the pasture and watch the fog roll in like waves.  It smells of salt like the ocean.

Salmon will splash up our creek to spawn.

Raccoons will look like they ate bowling balls they will be so fat, in preparation for their winters napping.

The scent of good clean wood smoke from our wood stoves will once again waft through the air, and inside the house, it will always smell of fresh baked bread, and some hearty soup or stew, and a fresh baked pie now and then.

Fall is also the time for secrets.  It's the time of year I sneak out of bed at 1AM, to work on handmade quilts and other lovely Christmas gifts until 5AM.

Yup, Autumn is my favorite season.
