23 ANSWERS

  1. The one that gets me to my destination safely

  2. air jamaica

  3. The F-23  hands down. To me it is a far better aircraft than the  f-22. Its looks better, its stealthier, and it is a h**l of allot cheaper than a f-22 by about 400mil along with less problems.

With just one f-22 you can buy a fighter wing of f-15E with money left over.

  4. My (and my partners, and the Banks') Piper Cherokee-180 in hangar *** at K*** ,almost paid for, and ready to use any time I want .

Piper PA-18 , nothing like flying low and slow in a old (super)Cub,

A couple of winters ago, I trained in a  "Lake Amphibious Seaplane".(In Fla.) It  sure  was a hoot to fly  whilst getting my seaplane rating.

Fourth on my list is the Wright Flyer . Who knows how long the development of the modern aircraft would have been delayed  with out it being invented (built) when it was?

  5. b1 bomber...I love the swept wing design

  6. F4, for obvious reasons

  7. A DC-3..........Because it is a DC-3

  8. b717 it is small but sleek and is quite to

  9. a380,b777-300ER,b787,dash 8 q400/300,a340-300 many others =)

  10. As John said.....

    Plane I'm paid to fly.

Chief pilot doesn't want to hear that you wanna fly the prettiest plane.

haha but i do have a thing for the 757.

  11. Boeing 737-700... best and safest.

  12. Airbus A380...not the most beautiful plane, but its wings are just really cool the way they flex

Boeing 777...i love huge engines and the GE-90 115B at 3.24m in diameter is crazy big

  13. WWII - Spitfire Mk1a.  Just a beautiful looking and sounding airplane.

Jet - Tie between the F-104 and the F-111 (I worked on the latter)

Commercial - Boeing 747.  Still the best thing hauling passengers.

  14. DH Tiger Moth - a darling of a plane, low and slow. All the aerobatics could be flown within 1,500 feet from the ground. Always dependable and always failsafe.

  15. The one I'm flying right now! It makes my pockets not seem so empty...but....

My old love (Learjet 25...she was a rocket ship...miss flyin her)

    F-16...just looks too d**n HOT!

Of course...my current ride...Hawker 800XP with my good ol' proline 21...she is a good ride...she isn't fast...but she is built like a tank.....

    Many others.....

    By the way....

The Gulfstream III - IV- 450- V- and 550 are a bit more popular than the Falcons...50, 900, or 2000

    Jonathan S

    ATP-LRJET,HS-125

    CFI/AGI

  16. dassault falcon, imagine 3 engines on that tiny plane! amazing. not surprisingly, it's the most popular executive jet in the business.

  17. Are we talking about airlines themselves or commerical airline companies like JetBlue? Well if its actual airlines then for me it is the Boeing-757 because they are huge and I like flying in bigger airplanes than smaller ones. If you are discussing the companies I can say without any problem that United is my favorite. They have the best airline crews and they don't suck major *** like Delta and Frontier which are bankrupt to the brim.

  18. the one i'm being paid to fly.

  19. DC-9.   Why??? Ever try to claim your luggage in Philadelphia, when two L1011-s are being unloaded at the same time???

  20. P-51 Mustang. All polished aluminum.

  21. The 150/152 Cessna. Probably the best trainer aircraft ever made. The only way you can damage one in flight is to run into something big, like the planet earth. Cheap to operate and very forgiving.

  22. I have started liking the a380 a lot as I am a fan of commercial airliners but for personal use (as I am a private pilot only) I still really enjoy the cessna 172.

  23. I soloed in 1964 in a 1949 Aeronca 11AC Chief, and went on to have a 37 year career as a professional pilot.  When I was nearing retirement day, I went looking and found that very same Aeronca Chief, partially dismantled, hanging up in a barn.

After a good cry, I bought the tattered airplane, loaded her on a truck, and took her to a fine shop for restoration.  Now I fly her several times a week, and she is almost a part of my body.  My Doggie likes the Chief, too.

So that's my favorite airplane.  I also really enjoyed flying the Convair 240 and the Douglas DC-6/C-118.  My career ended with the Boeing 747-400, and that was the icing on the cake.  They are all fine airplanes.  Every airline/air cargo pilot should fly a DC-4/C-54 or a DC-6/C-118 at least once.
