Whats your favourite english accent in the world?

i like the irish and the scotish accents,i hate d american accent it sounds so g*y and i dont like the english accent.wat about u?

there are very many english 'accents' with quite a marked difference even between two neighbouring counties

To me, and I am Scottish, a person without an accent speaks RP (like the English on the BBC). So Americans have a strong accent which is instantly recognisable.  There isn't such a thing as a single Irish accent. There is quite a marked difference between the Ulster accent and other areas of Ireland but I do have a special liking for "Norn Iron" (Northen Ireland) and just love the way they say "poynds" for "pounds"

Irish accents are nice! :) I like english accents too, but definitely not the 'i'm so superior' upper-class english accent! lol :D

To answer your question with perfect honesty, my favorite English accent is not general, but very, very specific.

It belongs to a lovely friend of mine who is from England and came to the States when she married a man in the US Air Force.  

Her accent is my favorite not because of the way she pronounces words, but the words themselves, which are generally kind, concerned, understanding, and funny.

Over the last two decades, this charming lady has enriched the lives of all who have had the good fortune to come into contact with her.

australian's sound too boganish (me).

and american's have a weird one but it is pretty famous in movies.

dont you find that when watching an american tv show or movie they dont have an accent but when watching an english one its really strong?
