  12. My favorite is homemade Venison Jerky. It is low in fat, high in protein, low in cholesterol.Beef is the most common.

    Since it dry meat, you have to chew it slowly to release its delicious flavor, therefore you consume a lot of time eating it and you do not

    over eat. A beverage is a good companion.

    My favorite recipe is;

    3 lbs. lean beef or venison,sliced into 1/4 inch slices. 1 tbsp. salt, 1 level tsp. Instacure,  1 tsp.

    onion powder, 1 tsp. garlic powder, 1 tsp. ground black pepper, 1/4 cup

    soy sauce, 1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce . Marinate for 24 hours , set oven at warm setting, place foil on top tray of oven,poke holes in foil, place jerky slices on foil. Leave in oven until tops of jerky are semi dry,

    over and remove when dry but still ply-able.
