I love chinese war wonton soup...loaded with shrimp. I also love thai soups...if you love soup go to a thai eatery and try the soup that comes with a flaming pot...really good!

Cheese broccoli soup (with a sour dough bread boll at panera! lol!) Thats pretty much I always get if there is that soup.

Proper scotch broth.

Then the christmas soup.

The one my mother in law makes in between christmas and new year and uses the carcass of the turkey as the base and adds pearl barley and split peas to it, stock, potatoes and peas.  It is out of this world and its part of the christmas ritual we all look forward to.  Best eaten on a bitingly cold day or when it is streaming with rain and you are there with a steaming bowl of soup and a chunk of fluffy and crusty bread - it is heaven!

When eating out I love French Onion Soup.  Our dining hall uses some cheese that totally makes it superb.  Cheeseburger soup?  Just add some shredded cheddar to hot Sirloin (use a spoon or fork...I can't remember the brand name.)

Chinese Wanton has to be the best of all those. Egg drop soup is good too, how ever classic tomato has to be the absolute best! and clam chowder is pretty amazing while we are at it.
