I'm pretty slow, but that was my time like 5 months ago, and I have been training for cross country so it is proabably better now.

Mile time- Fastest 4:41 ran when i was 16

                      when i was 15 ran 4:52

                      when i was 14 i ran a 5:01

But your doing great. you'll be able to hit in the 6 min. if you keep on training. and your tall thats a big advantage.

  7. height- 5'7

mile time- umm i think it was 7 minutes :)

  8. i think you're doing great!  if you've just started, and weigh that much AND run 8-some, you're in good shape.

i ran my fastest mile at age 19, and still didn't break 5 minutes!  (does 5:00.4 sound close to sub-5?).  i weighed 135 lb.

i've almost always been 5'11" or so, but NOW that i'm older, i've shrunk to 5'10".  i'll specify weight ...

at age 26 i ran in my college intramurals, still weighed 135, and was pleased with 5:18.7.

i didn't run the mile per se since, but have noted my 5k or 2-mile times since and can "guesstimate" -->

mid-30's in age (weight up to 145) i think i could run a mile in 5:35.

mid 40's and even to almost 50 i could break 6 minutes (and weight had 'crept' up to 155).

now, (i won't say what age) i think i would die if i tried to get under 6:30.  and i weigh slightly more.  does this help with your data?

A piece of advice: don't be discouraged at the answers here. Most people here have probably been running alot their whole life, or did like high school CC. An eight minute mile is good. Keep it up!
