What makes you get up every morning and going to work with the boss who doesn't even know your name, instead of just pressing the snooze button for another 30 minutes.

What keeps you running and going? What makes you optimistic and polite every single day to others, when you don't even get a thanks?

Im hoping some of it rubs off on me, b/c i procrasstinate a lot and i just don't see the point of life. help?

  1. I have standards that i keep for myself

  2. the fact that there are many people unemployed right now is my motivation to go to work. and my motivation to be nice to every people, well.. being nice is the sweetest and the most annoying revenge.

  3. Goals.

  4. i think about the indiviuals in this world that are starving, indiviuals that cant get an education because they are poor, i think of people that didnt wake out this morning, some people who have been searching for a job for over a year now that hasnt found one.  there is always someone that has it worse- there are people that arein worse situations that would be glad to trade places with either u or me- does it seem so bad now?  focus on the positives in ur life instead of the negatives. when u concentrate on negative things only negative thoughts will come and there for negative things are going to happen

  5. well for me it's getting up for school. there are a few people at school that I like, and I just go to school in case I can get a hug from them

if this is no help then just picture the boss dying in as many ways as possible every time you pass him. Don't be serious about it, but make it funny.

  6. like most people...afraid of failure...

    4. Avoid Getting Canned

    5. Using it to your Advantage

    6. Keeping your benefits

    7. Think of ways to stick it to your boss

    8. Ridiculous co-workers

    9. Important Notices

    10. The Watercooler

    11. Lost and Found

    12. To find a new job

    13. Permanently "borrow" stuff

    14. Gain Character

The list is helpfully and humorously explained at the actual site.  Good luck!!! :)

  8. I wake up, and want to improve from the day before.  I start the morning with a positive stance that today I'll correct my mistakes from yesterday, and hopefully today will be a better day than the last.

  9. well i did this.i had a job at school as secretary. wasnt much but i'll tell u it prepared me 4 life. i know not much ppl r very polite and they just there 2 tell u  2 "do this and do that" cuz they have that higher rank. i didnt like 2 go very much  cuz of the constant ridiculing but it was only a push 2 help me do better.  it prepared me 4 the real world. procrastinating when the boss wants something on time, showed me i cant sleep on the job. i have 2 always do my best even if there is no thanku u did a good job. at least u did it! so just keep pushing urself. strive 4 ur best. even if u dont c the point of going at times go! it doesnt matter if the boss doesnt say thanku when you've done a good job. at least u know u did it. not every1 shows gratitude. the point is you've achieved and accomplished ur goal.

  10. I don't have to work a 9 to 5 job - I am an artist in a very good financial situation, but that is not what makes me get up and face whatever life brings everyday. I am disciplined when 12 midnight comes and I set every day time to mt y work. I may not feel like doing it in times of drought but I still make myself do something about it...even if that is only re-arranging materials, sorting out sketches, putting in order what works in progress need to be attended to.

There is a presumption you make here : That I am optimistic

and polite to others everyday when and if I see others. This is not true of me. Sometimes I am simply too caught up in my emotional ball of yarn to want to do anything but just be exactly the way I am that day. When and if I am so cheerful that I say hello to everyone and it is not a reciprocal experience, I do not let it get under my skin. I t simply think that perhaps they are having as bad a day as I did when I was not that social upon meeting people.

I must admit that I used to procrastinate more when I was younger, but now I simply follow the schedule I've set out for myself, if only because I will feel more satisfaction dealing with the events which must be attended to.

Before my brother died, the closest to me, back 18 months ago, I was a lot less structured in life. Noe w I feel that I must attend to responsibility especially to family. I do not take them, nor friends, even strangers for granted. So that life over all because a 24/7 time schedule of "work" for me. Knowing (as if a great very heavy anchor has been swallowed by me and now has been, as far as attending to responsibility grounded me) that I will never see my brother whom I loved so much ever again, has made me feel MORE attentive to the significant others and duties in my life.

Life requires attention. Life requires not being taken for granted. Life requires that you are aware that you live and others live as well...for me, I try to simply attend to that on a daily basis. Only because such particulars are part of life...for the living to attend to. The dead, the beloved once alive, now no longer, remind you of this, by their mere absence in ONE's Life.

    Hope to have helped.

    Grecia.
