I loved being 13. I was never annoying or a pain. I wish I could be thirteen again and I am 17 in a few days. That was the best year of my life, and 8th grade was my best school year. Not all 13 year old's are annoying. It is people who choose to be that way, not the age that they are. Also, the learn behavior from seeing it at school, at home and on TV.

I love 13 year olds!  I've been a parent volunteer in a middle school (grades 6-8), and I've found that kids this age are creative, interesting, and entertaining.  I love hearing their opinions about life and seeing how they use their developing critical thinking skills.  They're still young enough to talk to adults or ask for help from teachers and parents, but old enough to fend for themselves on a field trip. They've had enough experience at sports or music that they are actually good, and it's fun to watch them. They can be so funny - one minute they're all grown up, and the next minute they're watching cartoons and playing with toy cars.   True, it's sometimes exhausting to try to keep up with them, and some of their humor isn't funny to me, but still, I find them delightful to be around.

I'm generalizing everything, I know that there are some really good kids but there are also the S****y l3itches who nobody can stand.

I think its because they try to hang out with their older friends who are in high school and want to be like them. they want to dress like them and act like them.

And for the 13 year olds answering this question saying how hard their lives are and how they're so stressed. Well wait till junior year of high school. Wait until you have the way more homework than 8th grade and much much more drama. You're still babies, most don't know what life is really like, most live in your sheltered lives. Then wait till college, oh that'll be fun for you. Then when you graduate college, you get pushed into the real world.

my high school is a 5- year college prep academy, so we have 8-12.

the eighth graders who get accepted act all big because they got knocked off the block early (you have to be accepted in, if you're not, you just finished 8th grade in a regular middle school and then continue in a regular high school) and think they're the smartest because they got in.

some of them are cool thought, the humble ones.

on the first day of school, there were a lot of 8th graders sent to the office because of dress code violations... wearing shirts that showed off their b*****s... it disgusted me. they're practically babies, they don't need to be dressing like that!

Okay, I just got out of eighth grade in June and I'm really quite offended. You know what, we're trying to figure out who we are and truly, right now we're getting a ton of sh*t from our parents. They think we have attitude, when really, we're just STRESSING. We have a TON to deal with- school... and all that stuff. Plus we're kind of an emotional WRECK. So everyone goes through it and you're proabably old and you were thirteen too once. And you proabably were a pain in the @$$ too.

I'm 13 and in 8th grade. And my opinion on my peers is they are immature and think they can do anything.  They are rude and disrespectful to the teachers and the other kid's. But only some of the kid's I could sit here and name them all off the top of my head but i'm afraid to! LOL but most of the other people in my grade are great, very nice kids.  We got good kid's and bad kid's and that will never change.
