  1. Workouts build up your strength or stamina, but they don't neccessarily prepare you for a real life fight. It definately helps and gives you a definate advantag over your opponent, in which case any workout would be beneficial.

John Little wrote a book, 'The Art of Expressing the Human Body,. Drawing on Bruce Lee's own notes, letters, diaries and training logs, bodybuilding expert John Little presents the full extent of Lee's unique training methods including nutrition, aerobics, isometrics, stretching and weight training. As most people know, Bruce Lee's physical appearance and strength were truly astounding so following in his footsteps is a good way to go.

  2. swimming

just joking around with some of my friends who are on swimmng

    wrestling and such

    they have muscle like crazy

tire hitting, im a fan of, first time i tried i was thinking ok ive seen this before then i started doing it and was like ok this does get very tiring

as for flipping it depends, if you flip a tire right with your legs, it will work your thighs nd explosive power, but if you try and lift up from your back....your in for alot of extra pain you dont need

running, i think is underestimated, and shadow boxing with weights

i do alot of shadow boxing with both ankle weights and light hand weights

just jumping around, moving up, back, side to side, jab hook, jab jab cross, jab jab hook kick, kick hook jab jab

it starts to get on you, but then you start sparring with someone and you no longer have weights holding you back or slowing you down, you really start to move

  3. Boxers for years have used a variety of methods for building strength and endurance.  Anything from chopping wood, to swimming, to actual weight lifting that originally was thought of as bad for boxers to use.  I think they can be for some as it exercises your muscles in a different way as well as helps you to build things like tendon and core strength.  If you do the same work out all the time over a period of years you can literally wear out certain joints as well as cause a lot of stress in them.  Varying that workout as well as doing something else like tire flipping or sledge hammer work is just basically cross training really.

  4. outside of actually training then anything that increases your stregth and conditioning.

the quickest and easiest way to do that is a combination of cardio and weight training.
