  1. A very dominate win.

  2. Mine was:..........HERE COMES GOLD BABY

  3. my reaction is that hard work pays off...the past few years we've had superior talented ball clubs but it didn't show because the guys didn't play very well together....now it isn't the case...they practice together every summer....this is awsome...i can't wait to see the olympic team four years from now....4 years of lebro, d-wade, chris paul, dwight howard, and deron williams all maturing and and growing together and all coming into their primes at around the same time....not to mention if greg oden gets healthy and gets some nba experience...the NBA is finally getting ready to go into to another golden age much like it was in, in the eighties.....the next few years should be really interesting....and i predict the return of a dream team....not an olympic team like this years that should beat everyone by 15pts but a team that pust an *** whipping on everyone that it faces...they may not win by as much as the original dream team but they may end up being just as talented......THANK YOU JESUS....i love basketball

  4. Yea with michael phelps there's good chance that the U.S is gona a get a lot of gold . but i hope we do good in gymnastincs.....they didn't look that good tuesday

  5. I kept hearing things like, "Wait until they play Greece, then we'll see them struggle."   Well, they flew by them just like every other team.  So yes,  FINALLY.  However, it is going to get tougher.  All these other teams end up playing better team ball and I'm afraid to see what happens if they do get stuck in a close game.  I just hope they would continue to play team ball and not let individual egos think they can single handedly win the game.

  6. What up Massarati,

My thought is not to celebrate too early.  We haven't accomplished anything until they are on that podium with the Anthem playing.  The US has still struggled to shoot from the perimeter- and the key is just advancing right now- in the single elimination portion of the tournament is when it really counts.  But if they truly want to re-establish themselves as the dominant power in the world in basketball- they must not only win the gold- but go undefeated in the process- and not have any close calls...

They were impressive against Greece- but must continue to do that on the way to winning the Gold.

  7. Mine is, why are they playing in China where I have to stay up late/wake up early just to watch it. Oh and the best Sportscenter gives us is a bunch of photos.

  8. TEAM USA seems to get back on track slowly.

My view on the win vs Greece is that the players share a definite and highly-motivated goal to revenge, and TEAM USA has showcased tough defense and good finishing.

However, I suggest to remain a little cautious before TEAM USA completes the group stage. My impression on Spain is that they have yet to play at their best, but they gave up 5 points less per game than TEAM USA, blanketed Dirk Nowitzki to a subpar 11-point game without a single FTA and dominated China from final minutes in 4th quarter till overtime. These are indications showing that Spain is still ready to post a genuine threat to TEAM USA.

In a player-to-player appraisal, D-Wade is the MVP so far thanks to his precise finishing and repeated game-changing plays. LBJ is getting better and better each game with solid contribution on both ends, while Kobe was not shooting well but was quietly helping the team (stat-wise LBJ outplayed him). Of course Chris Bosh is a real spark in the tournament and he virtually outplays every big man he has faced (and an even game vs Yao actually).

I am looking forward to seeing USA vs. Spain, as this will tell who should win the gold medal.

  9. I admit that I was kind of relieved that they won.The players on Team USA were really determined to play well against Greece and if they had lost it could've been very disappointing. There are two teams that are playing great in the Olympics and thats Argentina and Lithuania and they will probably be the best competition for Team USA.
