  1. CM(crazy monkey) Boxing. Boxing that is modified for MMA.

Along with No-Gi BJJ with Danny suarez (former IFL condors member) Who has trained in Combat Submission Wrestling with Erik Paulson, and is a Black belt is BJJ.

  2. I'm pretty partial to the Scottish Martial art of FACK Y'OO!!!

  3. Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu. Nothing is more deadly and more effective than Ninjutsu. Superior technique will always win.

  4. I'm better at muay thai but i have a love affair with BJJ. Nothing feels more fulfilling than making your opponent squirm in pain.

  5. My style is Shorin Ryu(Matsabashi Ryu/Kobiashi Ryu), Jujitsu.

Although I have some rank in Judo I didn't include it in my style because my judo is included in my jujitsu. I would train in judo again just to obtain my black belt. Because that would be my reason is the same reason I haven't went back into formal training. It would have to be more than rank for me to train. I did enjoy it when I was actively training and competing.

I'm not formally training in judo. But I would consider it if I could find more time.

No, I'm not MMA even though I train in more than one style. We train in several style to be able to defend ourselves or to avoid confrontations, but not for the ring(octagon, etc)

  6. Japanese jiu-jitsu is my base style but have a keen interest in Aikido and Wing chun .

    Best wishes :)***

  7. Brazilian Jiujitsu son, muy thai.

and is anyone else annoyed with people who dont even know what mma is walking around with tapout shirts on

  8. I like Boxing, but Krav Maga is most effective.

  9. i haven't any style but i hope that i'm fond of boxing

  10. I am a mixed martial artist, and love the combination.

However, if you mean individual styles. I am amazing at Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and the power of control it gives me makes that my favorite style. However grappling is strongly supported by a good stand up, which I have. I also study Okinawan Kempo,  descended from the line of Taeka Oyada's martial arts. Which I also believe to be an amazing form of kickboxing.

My favorite type of stand up is Muay Thai, but I have never gotten to practice with a true master. Only former students, nonetheless the Thai clinch is part of my game in mma, I even know a submission while in the clinch.

But still I'm a fan of the Jiu-Jitsu. My favorite submission is the anaconda choke btw.

  11. wing chun, Pretend its like taking upper level theory Kung Fu class in collage.

  12. I really love the classical arts. Mainly because the ancient settings I always imagine them being trained in. Liek I really wish I could learn Pankration. As well as Iron kung-fu and qi-gong or pneuma basically body hardening. So...Ancient styles.

  13. My style?  You could call it the art of fighting, without fighting.

    James

  14. I practise wado-ryu karate because I prefer to fight 'standing up', but wado-ryu also incorporates certain jujitsu techniques (the founder, Hironori Ohtsuka, had practised jujitsu).

This makes our karate style more versatile.

Wado-ryu differs from other styles because Ohtsuka sensei taught students to use Taisabaki (body shifting) and Nagashi (evasion) which evade the full force of an attack. At the same time they position the body for a counterattack. If you can anticipate when your opponent is going to attack, then you will react instinctively.

Wado-ryu  also encompasses various throws and arm locks, and the take-downs practised at the advanced levels are pure jujitsu.

Master Ohtsuka included in his new syllabus Jiyu kumite, (free fighting techniques), he also developed Idori-no-kata, (kneeling defence), Tanto-dori (knife defence) and Tachi-dori (sword defence).

  15. i'm going to be completely honest here, if i got in a fight, I'd drop almost everything I've learned after 6+ years of tang soo do training, and just make sure the fight ended with the other guy on the ground. however, if it was a controlled fight, i like to use the proper martial arts techniques.

  16. Mixed Martial Arts student and fan myself. No particular style

  17. I do Shotokan (martial art). Mostly for the exercise and also for safety. Been doing this for years.

  18. ummp nice question,,,,, i prefer  mixed martial arts

its because its not just learning it but it is more on techniques and strategies;; you can win boxing and wrestling by means of strength or power but in mma u cant win a fight with just strength u need to think first b4 doing something or else u lose

  19. My style is Muay thai, boran, and chaiya. Thats all I'll say.

  20. i perfer hung gar because of the many kinds of hand strikes including the tiger claw strike. i hold a brownbelt in traditional shotokan karate. but i find all martial arts interesting and will use any move i see and like

  21. Oh my.... I was under the impression that everyone here was in MMA but it's quite diverse, where are the Karatekas and Taekwondo students? Anyways, my style is....intricate, it has a combination of Taichi techniques, Wing Tsun applications, and Bagua Tactics structured around a backbone of Shaolin Kung-Fu (Mizong, Luohan, Taizu Changquan, Tongbei, etc.), Elephant style, and Shuai Jiao style Qinna..... with Shuai Jiao basics of course.

  22. Well I prefer to keep the fight standing up since I'm a better striker than I am on the ground.

  23. I love to watch all styles, I love boxing, as a matter of fact I amatuer boxed before. I aslo practice wing-chun, and thai boxing. I'm definately a striker and like to watch strikers fight more than grapplers but I respect grapplers.
