What's your take on it, I downloaded it today I think its pretty good and faster than Internet Explorer.

I use Firefox but I'm having a few problems with it but I'm going to replace it with Google Chrome.

  1. I LOVE GOOGLE CHROME

There's one website that comes up the kind of ads that covers your whole scree and you have to click skip the ad to go back to the webpage

Well, that ads no longer happens in google chrome. I can browse the entire website without one single popup ads, while in IE, that ads comes up every page I click

I think it has a very powerful pop up blocker, it can block that new kind of ads.

Oh, btw its speed is great too

    love it

  2. I am using it now to write this reply.

So far I am very impressed, web pages load at least 2 times as quick, especially google searches, gmail and other google products.

There are obviously some compatibility issues as it has only been out for a day and is still a BETA release.

If I were you I would keep firefox for the time being. I can see myself using Chrome as the default browser though

  3. I think it's funny. Google is only supporting Microsoft with this one so far, and the reason that it's SOOO fast is that it doesn't get rendered with the desktop theme.

If you're impressed by speed, then you should try a linux distro with a 'fluxbox' desktop. Then you could run Firefox about 100 times faster than Chrome runs. The reason it runs fast is that it's extremely limited. It gives a bigger font - something you can adjust with a normal browser (I have mine a nice size to balance how much is onscreen and how big it is). With Chrome, it's VERY big, and the webpage is interpreted and layed out longer and thinner - not so good for widescreen is it?

Funny how people buy monitors wider than they are high to look at web pages, pages are high and narrow - and this browser makes it even MORE incompatible with the screen.

Personally - I dont use windows, my Opera and Firefox and Epiphany browsers work Lightening fast  -  so I don't see the need to change. I certainly don't fancy giving GOOGLE (by clicking the agreement) the right to possess all the information about my browsing habits or anything else I do in a browser! It is 'open source' but it is NOT FREE.

This is simply moving from the Microsoft camp into the Google camp, and I prefer to stay in my own camp.

CHROME is ideal for the typical Windows user - people who are too illiterate, or lazy to read the EULA

Either that, or they're too stupid to realise why it is sooo long! By the time they understand it, they already have Chrome and are TOOOOOO LAZY to ever change to anything else.

It's similar to the way Microsoft took over the world - start with the stupid one's....

  4. Well, firefox doesn't spy on you and retain ownership of everything you do on the internet. Chrome does. I will never use a browser like that. It's exactly why I stopped using micro$oft products.

Read the eula you agreed to when you installed. I can't believe people are installing this.

  5. I love the new browser and I think it's going to kill IE. It's just a better browser all together - and super fast. My favorite things about it is that it runs Javascript code much faster and that makes Google docs so much better!

It's working great for me as we speak, and I'm a die hard Firefox user!
