  1. Everyone is entitled to certain likes and dislikes. It's natural and human, and you can't judge someone because you like carrots and they don't.

That being said, people that are too fussy (over the age of 18) tend to be a little ridiculous. There is barely anything more enjoyable in the world than food, so why not explore your options? Your tastebuds change over time, and sometimes you will find yourself liking a food item you disliked as a child.

Fussy eaters are particularly difficult in restaurants. Removing something from a dish or putting sauce on the side is no problem, but when it gets to be like, "I want this, but I don't want it fried, and I can't have onions, so put celery instead, and no garlic...." What a pain!

Also, a little fyi to you fussy eaters out there...servers and chefs are on to your "allergies". Sure, you may be allergic to peanuts or shell fish, but no one is allergic to lettuce or parsely, etc. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean you're allergic. I once had a lady eat our garlic mushroom soup (delicious btw), and then insist that her veal parm couldn't have any garlic because she was allergic. Yeah, okay!

  2. I dont care if someone is fussy, but if they ruin my meal, it annoys me.  Like if they keep complaining about the food they are eating, while we are all trying to eat the meals we are enjoying and paying a lot of money for.  Kind of ruins the night as well, and if you picked the restaurant, there is the cherry on top.

  3. One of my best friends is a picky eater.  She recently explained it to me.  She says there are tasters, regular tasters, and super tasters.  Super tasters are very sensitive to this undercurrent of bitterness in foods, like Broccoli and olives.  She claims she is one of thr roughly 25% of adults who are Supertasters, which makes feeding her a difficult project, as she is also a vegetarian, and won't eat so many vegetables!  (but we love her and cater to her needs once or twice a year when we have her for dinner.)

  4. I'm fussy, no non organic dairy or meat products of any kind. It's not a problem at all when I'm home but it is hard to eat out, luckily I live in a city with a few good vegetarian choices...

  5. yeah Im one of those. You just make your own choices and thats all there some people who like certain things and others who dont and thats what makes everyone tastes different. It really dosent cause problems. When I go out to a restraunt I just ask for no tomato and no mayo on my sandwich. Its the way I like it and besides Im the one whose gotta pay for it so why not have it made the way I want it not their way. They have no problem with it.

  6. I used to be incredibly picky but as I grew into adulthood I was able to learn to try new things.  I eat almost anything now.  I never expect anyone to cook anything special for me as there will always be SOMETHING I like.  I hate to cook for picky people. It is restrictive in my creativeness in cooking.

  7. I totally agree with comedian George Carlin: "Fussy eaters are a euphemism for big pain in the a__."

  8. It's gotta be horrible if I turn it down:

    Cold

    Overcooked-depending

    Undercooked-depending

    Body parts, hair, bugs,etc.

I have ate at places that the food just seemed to not have flavor, or the flavor just was'nt right to me...I don't complain, just never return.  I have been amazed at the things I have seen people complain and return /want refunds over.

  9. I am a fussy eater. I don't know if it is something evolutionary, but I think I have earned the right to eat foods I enjoy rather just eating anything. It doesn't cause me any problems, if I don't like something I won't eat it. Simple really...

  10. I think that a reason for someone to be a picky eater, is because they have never been truly hungry, people will be surprised at what they will eat if they are really hungry!!!
