ok i know that people say they cold read you and they can extract info from you but i have been to some who do not do that. they tell me facts, names/places/dates/events that they just couldn't know and are too specific to be a generlization. so how do they do this?? they say they can talk to spirits and have made reference to my family matters through my dead grandad. can they tell the future? i dont' believt hat its cold reading, io think there is something that they can do to link in but not sure what..

whats your explanations for this

  1. It's some kind of trick. They cannot speak to "spirits". What a load of cockrot.

  2. I think those that claim they have the power and do it for money and fame are fakes...they are too general and throw 'common' words and suggestions out there and they read your actions and expressions to keep going or move on to the next....

Real ones do exist...I'd like to believe... they are not 100% but they are close....I don't think we should rely on them though....it is too if-y.

I'll just avoid them....I mean it seems like guess most of the time...we can do that too....

  3. I was the first one to put them down till I met a woman who was passing through town and she made my hair stand on end.  She knew the name of everyone close to me and predicted 14 things for the future with the help of Tarot cards. Over the next 10 years everyone of them came true, even my brother becoming a pilot, He had no interest in planes at the time, I've been  too spooked to go to another one.

  4. first of all it is spelt psychic.  I think its something to do with a spiritual aspect. I'm not entirley sure. My dad has tried doing things like this and has succeded. Some people are 'tuned' into the 'spiritual world' more than others and can extract thoughts etc from this. eg my dad was given a photo of a boy, didn't know a thing about him, but from the photo knew that he had some form of disability by using the spiritual side of things. it was impossible to tell he was disabled by looking at the photo itself. In neither mine or my dads experience have people been able to look into the future, but there may be a possibility.

  5. The first hypothesis sounds correct.  It's a bit like 20 questions which is usually enough to "read" someone's thoughts.

  6. The human brain does have untapped potential (pineal gland for example) and there is definitely some as yet unexplained phenomena that occurs that may or may not be linked to spirits of the dead.  But unfortunately MOST (but not all) psychics send up and make a mockery of an area of science that could do with some serious and sustained investigation, by lying and pretending (yes Derek Acorah, I'm looking your way!)

added - matt, if you cant spell it, dont slate it, kind of subtracts all weight from your statement!

  7. my view is that some of them are real. they seem to be very real infact from what i've seen/heard. i think they're helpful to people like me. i think they sort of give you a sense of stability. i can't wait to go see one.

  8. People trying to explain what the do not understand. TRYING TO MAKE SENSE OUT OF AN INSANE, NONSENSICAL WORLD.

  9. this is a scam all physics are a scam.
