  1. The Werewolf Book: The Encyclopedia of Shape-Shifting Beings by Brad Steiger

The Compleat Vampyre: The Vampyre Shaman, Werewolves, Witchery & the Dark Mythology of the Undead

A Lycanthropy Reader: Werewolves in Western Culture : Medical Cases, Diagnoses, Descriptions, Trail Records, Historical Accounts, Sightings, Philosop

The Encyclopedia of Vampires, Werewolves, and Other Monsters by Rosemary Guiley

  2. "The Werewolf" by Montague Summers, published in 1933.

This very eccentric author actually takes himself seriously which makes the book all the more entertaining to read.

  3. I must second BreBre's answer of The Werewolf Book:  The Encyclopedia of Shape-Shifting Beings by Brad Steiger.

It is what it says it is, an encyclopedia.  It covers every topic about Lycanthropes and other shifters.  It even delves into the human psyche and it's primal abilities.  The werewolf chronology at the beginning of the book is especially interesting and informative.
