What does DivX do,and whats it for?

DivX is a format u use on your comp to play burned movies and downloaded movies

only certain dvd players can play that format

so there for if your friend has a dvd and you burn it to a disc you can watch it on your computer or you can play it on your tv with a DivX compatible dvd player

its works the same if you download movies that is the format they usually come in
