The impact on the number of trees needed to produce millions of big books such as "Harry Potter" and others.

  1. Not as large as you might think. The books are kept for a long time or resold, so the impact is spread over a long time. The bookboards contain a large recycled fibre content.

    Besides, if we were going to make publishers pay for the environmental damage of books produced in the millions, we'd have to start with the Bible and the Koran. Proposing something like that would be political suicide.
