  1. The Jews I think from Mesopotamia originally. The Arabs from middle Africa to Middle East.

The Jews travelled up and split through North Africa and across to the Sinai Peninsula

  2. i believe it would be mixed because a lot different nationalites have intermarried with the Jews but European Jews have Mixed origins origins from all over the place mainly Europe

  3. Jews go around the world. You are also a Jew if your mother is a Jew. So your father can be a European, but as long as your mother is a Jew, you are a Jew.

  4. All Jewish people originated in the Middle East, Egypt, Israel, Iraq and the fertile crescent. They migrated in all directions as nomads. Some settled in Europe and decided to stay. Judaism is not a race. Jews come in all colors and skin tones. They have crossbred with all races.

  5. They are known as Ashkenazi Jews, who migrated northward very early on, and developed lighter skin & eye color along with other Caucasians who lived in an often-clouded, cooler atmosphere!

Hebrew-speaking tribes split up, and went in different directions 3-4,000 years ago...

Eastern Europe, close to the Black Sea, is especially known for having communities of paler-faced, light-color eyed, Ashkenazi Jews!

Dark-haired, brown-eyed Jews from the Fertile Crescent & Palestine, are sometimes referred to as Sephardic Jews...

  6. Judaism is a religion, so anyone who follows it is a Jew. People of any color can belong to a particular religion.

Jewish as an ethnicity has extensive roots in Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa. Tigranya, Tigre, and Ge'ez are ancient Semitic languages from the northern Ethiopian people. Southern Ethiopians spoke Amhara, West Gurage and East Gurage languages which are Semitic too. These were the languages of the early Israelites who resided in the Horn of Africa area, all the way up to Egypt, North Africa, and stretched all the way to the Arabia.  Central Semitic language--- spoken in North Africa include Punic and Phoenician.

  7. Actually people from the middle east do not all have particularly dark skin, and some European jews do, or have the ability to tan very darkly.

European jews, by which I mean the Ashkenazim and Sephardim, typically have genetic makeups not all too different from the surrounding "gentile" populations. Genetic studies done on groups of Ashkenazi jews have shown genes which can also be found in certain modern middle eastern groups, and so though they are largely European in terms of gene stock, they generally DO have middle eastern heritage.

It seems that there is no one origin of European jews. They cannot all be traced to the now extinc Khazars. Rather, it seems that as these groups migrated out of the middle east, they intermarried with the surrounding populations and their offspring continued migrating while carrying on the legacy of their jewish ancestors and so on.
