What’s the impact of technology on banks???

I’m trying to write a paper on this topic, as you know the topic is quite big. So I would like to know most important point that I should write about.

The two most significant technology impacts on banks are:

  1.  The computer

  2.  The ATM machine

The computer has enabled banks to speed up processing and handle much larger workloads without increasing staff.

The ATM machine is something that every Bank President blesses in his prayers each and every night.  It is open 24 hours a day, it never takes a vacation, It never asks for a raise, It can't join a union, it rarely gets sick (breaks down) and never makes a mistake.  If the banks could get away with it they would replace many of their branches with ATMs (come to think of it they have.)
