Whay height bo staff should u get? I'm between 5'5 and 5-8?

A bo staff should be around your height to the top of your head.

If you are between 5'5 and 5'8, does that make you 5' 6 1/2"?

If you are 5' 5" get a 66" bo. If you are 5'8" get a 72" bo.

The bo (staff ) should reach the hight of your eye brows. There are severals sizes available. If you buy one that's pass your head in hight you can cut it down to the point i mentioned.  But if your still growing you can use that hight without cutting it as long as it is not to hight above your head.

When people refer to the "bo staff" they're typically referring to the rokushaku bo, which has a length of 6 shaku (roughly 6 feet). If you're talking for a competition using the toothpick style bo where you spin it and demonstrate how pretty it can look, they'll size one for you at a martial arts shop. I don't suggest using these type for any bojutsu techniques -- they break easily.
