  1. Lol, sorry to the first commenter, but petrol is made from oil.

    Britain is lucky in that we have a lot of oil in the north sea / atlantic ocean up north. Your fuel probably comes from an oil well offshore up north, is piped to Sullom Voe in Shetland (biggest oil terminal in Europe although most people dont know it exists). From there it is taken by tanker down to a refinery either at Grangemouth, Scotland or most probably straight to England. Then the happy little tanker takes it to your local petrol station.

    Oil is only brought in from other countries when the demand for it exceeds our production rates. From what I gather we do not to bad from what we produce here. It's america that needs oil from other countries because their supply from the Gulf of Mexico is limited and with such a large population they need to steal someone else's oil.


  2. The petrol is sourced from the UK, becasue that is where it is refined.

    Its the Oil that is sourced from various world locations.
