Wheelchair ramp?

i want to build a wheelchair ramp at a friends house so that she can get in and out with an electric wheelchair. can anyone tell me the correct mix for the concrete

  1. they sell the stuff already mixed, just add water

    is it a big ramp or a little ramp, wood may be more appropriate if it is a long run

    I bet you thought you could do this easily, lol, here are ADA specifications to overwhelm you


  2. Lowe's or Home Depot can advice you step by step on your project! Good Luck!

  3. instead of worrying about how much sand and how much portland cement why not buy bags of ready mix concrete where all you have to do is add water - should be available at your local lowes or home depot

  4. Don't know about the mix, but look into ADA requirements for ramps.  They will speak to slope and protective features, among other things..

  5. correct mix for a ramp would be 4 parts ballast to 1 part cement
