Following the sacking of Kenny Dalglish, it was rather unclear just who would be the new manager at Liverpool.

The Reds owners seemed to have been impressed by the way the manager had handled things at Wigan and felt that he could step in and change things at Anfield as well.
However, despite their efforts, it seems like both the parties couldn’t agree on how to move the club forward.
In the end, it was a conflict of interest, over just how the management structure needed to operate and how many new faces needed to be brought in, that changed everything.
As a result of the break down in the talks between Liverpool and Martinez, they went on to target Swansea’s Brendan Rodgers, who is now more than likely going to be unveiled as the Reds new manager.
With all this commotion regarding the move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Martinez-c24468 might not be able to focus on Wigan, just the way he used to and that his focus might determinate from here on.
Nonetheless, the club’s owner, Whelan feels that the Spaniard is more committed to the club now, then he was in the past.
When talking about his team’s manager, Whelan is quoted to have said: "There will be no adjustment to his current deal"
"He moves into second year of the deal previously agreed."
Whelan also revealed that Wigan would be looking to improve their squad even further, as they hope to have a much better run in, in the coming season.
Whelan revealed that as many as three new faces could be brought into the club in the near future and this could help the team fight for a much higher spot in the Premier League table.
Martinez is now going to have to prove his commitment, as he looks to have an impressive third season with the club.
