Never mentioned, but James's Patronus is a stag, so it sort of makes sense.  Could be fanfic hype though.

Maybe it's in the 7th book.  I gave up after the improbable love connections in HBP.

He was telling Harry about Snape's love for Lily and how they had the same Patronus because of that, it was her's first
