  1. i say when they are both mature and financially secure

  2. Up to 55? Ugh! What person in their right mind would want to still be raising a kid when in their 70s? And know they may not live long enough to see grandchildren by that kid (or at least not to see the grandchild grown).

I can't see why anyone would want to keep having kids past age 40 myself...that still puts them at near 60 before the child is a legal adult and no longer their parent's responsibility.

As far as starting to have kids, probably around mid to late 20s...as I feel mid 20s is the earliest good time to consider marriage, after the person has had a few yrs to experience being an adult and getting their adult life path well started...

  3. If two people have a good job and have a nice home and provide then the age shouldn't matter.

  4. When they are old enough to financially and emotionally be able to care for the child(ren).  The age may vary on that.

I do not think that teens should be having kids, because they are not capable of providing for the child -- but then, there are 30 year olds who cannot either though :/

  5. I would say somewhere between the ages of 25-35. In this range, you have gotten settled and hopefully have earned enough money to support your family. Pregnancy at the ages of 17 and 18 is just plain ridiculous! Over 40 is getting a little too old, though you could probably do it until 43- 45. After that, I think is the limit. This is just my opinion though!

  6. When you get pregnant, when you are meant to have kids you'll have them.

  7. I'd be terrified to have a baby past 30.. and 55?  Are you serious!? That seems completely crazy to me.. but that's just my opinion.  My husband and I are both 23 and 22, and had our son 8 months ago (Dec.).  Personally, I wouldn't have had it any differently.  We'll be young enough to keep up with him, especially once he starts walking around, and running away from us.  Plus, once he's in high school.. we'll be the "cool" parents b/c we're so young!! ---or at least that's what we hope!!

Not to mention, for females, the birth defect rate almost doubles once  you get over a certain age.. I believe it's 38 or 40.  You have way more chances of having a child with special needs... which certainly is not a bad thing.  However, your pregnancy over the age of 38 or so, has much high risk factors to deal with.  My pregnancy was wonderful, no complications whatsoever.  Like I said, I wouldn't have it any other way, than how we did it!!

I had C-section, b/c the baby was always Breech. :)  It was wonderful tho!!
