Would it be possible that my baby is whinning because she can't communicate?

If she doesn't get her way "she whines"

IF the t.v is not on "she whines"

if her toy is not reacting the way she wants "she whines"

If she trips while walking "she whines"

I'm going nutts!!! I keep telling myself it's because she can't speak yet and she's frustrated. My husband keeps thinking it's because she's tired and needs a nap.

HELP?

  1. She is only 15 months old that is what 15 month old babies do.she is just being herself, but encourage her to start using words , be patient you only have control over your reaction. you are the parent and parenting as you know is not easy.

  2. Mommy needs to take toddler handling classes :)

  3. Some kids are just like that, my youngest son is 3 1/2 years old and I swear all he does is whine about everything and he can talk, he talks better than my almost 6 year old sometimes.  I just ignore it and he stops.  I will only pay attention to him if he is whining for a reason like being hurt or something and he has gotten better.  It is their way of getting attention.  If she whines because of the tv just say not right now and leave it at that.  If she whines because of the toy problem she is frustrated and needs to learn how to handle that frustration so try to distract her with something else or ask her if she would like some help (don't just help her, ask first sometimes they don't want the help).  If she whines to get her way on something after you say no don't give in.

  4. Speak to her in a calm voice and ask or suggest what she might want.  If you get annoyed so will she.  If she throws a toy or gets upset about it just sit with her and show her the right way to do it.  She's frustrated too cuz she doesn't know how to verbalize her feelings.  It will pass and she'll be talking in no time.

  5. Usually it means that you respond to her when she whines.  She whines, it drives you nuts so you go see what she wants and fix it, and she learns that whining is the way to get Mom or Dad to pay attention.  Pay attention to her when she is NOT whining and ignore her when she is and she will stop doing it.

  6. She maybe whining because she is trying to talk, making noises is part of discovering she has vocal chords and she can make sounds.

  7. Oh she's just a baby.

its always best to remind them to use their big girl words. try mimicking her in order for her to hear how silly she sounds.

i need to constantly remind my 5 yr old boy to use his nice and strong big boy words.

    hope you find your answer
