I read somewhere once that when Allah wants to reward a person for something, He gives them a difficulty first before the reward. Is that true?

  1. Qur'aan Ch : 3 verse 186. You shall certainly be tried and tested in your wealth and properties and in your personal selves, and you shall certainly hear much that will grieve you from those who received the Scripture before you (Jews and Christians) and from those who ascribe partners to Allâh; but if you persevere patiently, and become Al-Muttaqûn (the pious - See V.2:2) then verily, that will be a determining factor in all affairs (and that is from the great matters which you must hold on with all your efforts).

    Ch : 2 verse  2

This is the Book (the Qur'ân), whereof there is no doubt, a guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqûn [the pious and righteous persons who fear Allâh much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden) and love Allâh much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)].

    Quran Ch : 3 verse 69.

A party of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) wish to lead you astray. But they shall not lead astray anyone except themselves, and they perceive not.

Ch : 29 v64.   And this life of the world is only an amusement and play! Verily, the home of the Hereafter, that is the life indeed (i.e. the eternal life that will never end), if they but knew.

Ch 67 v1.   Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion, and He is Able to do all things.

v2.   Who has created death and life, that He may test you which of you is best in deed. And He is the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving.

Ch 17 v 19 .  And whoever desires the Hereafter and strives for it, with the necessary effort due for it (i.e. do righteous deeds of Allâh's Obedience) while he is a believer (in the Oneness of Allâh— Islâmic Monotheism), then such are the ones whose striving shall be appreciated, (thanked and rewarded by Allâh)

Ch : 3 verse 14.   Beautified for men is the love of things they covet; women, children, much of gold and silver (wealth), branded beautiful horses, cattle and well-tilled land. This is the pleasure of the present world's life; but Allâh has the excellent return (Paradise with flowing rivers) with Him.

  2. I have never read the condition you mentioned above.

I only know that Allah tests our faith by giving us poverty or too much wealth, robust health or sickness, plenty of children or no children to see how one reacts towards Allah and whether his faith remains same or it is shaken by sickness and poverty or in adverse circumstances..  Whether too much wealth and robusts makes him proud and arrgonant.  He uses his wealth to help others or hurts others. He uses his robust health to beat weak people or help weak people protect from the bad people. Allah rewards  good action and punishes for  bad actions towards other humans and other creations of God.

  3. Well that might explain why ever since I started to actually practice Islam, I've had some difficult days. So I guess the reward will come. But I actually don't know if that's true lol.

  4. Allah test those whom he loves.

suffering is a blessing, in it is a hiden mercy

  5. The higher your Emaan, the more tests one is put through, as Allah (swt) knows they are able to over come these tests, with reliance in Allah (swt) and patience.

  6. Allah never give us something we cant handle, maybe the hardship is to allow us to appreciate the reward more
