There's no doubt that the 2 Americans will play each other in the Wimbledon Finals. I don't see anyone in the men's field capable of beatitng either one of those 2 on grass. Do you agree? Who do you think will win the match?

  1. What color is the sky in your fantasy world?  You're obviously either joking, crazy, on drugs, or all of the above.

  2. Hate to spoil your fantasy but they are not getting to the finals. Too inconsistent.

There are bigger servers who can actually fluctuate their game, be versatile with their shot making then stubborn Roddick. Until he establishes a backhand, a topspin backhand, and not just slice it back most of time for safety reasons, he will continue to be a one slam wonder. If Nadal made the finals already with not a strong serve, goes to show everyone, that whacking the ball all the time means nothing. If you dont have finesse at times, if you cant display a mix of groundstrokes, you wont succeed. As in most players. As for Blake, he seems to start off so well and seems unstoppable then always seems to get to that certain point where he just becomes flat, frustrated, lost, and is why he constantly loses the big matches. As with Roddick and Blake, I dont think Federer will win this year either. Not sure right now who will, but there are many with big games that could be "the surprise".

  3. ha! ha! ha! you sure do enjoy your little joke, don't you!

as an agent provocateur you are priceless. (and predictable!!)

run along now and gargle peanut butter.......

  4. in contrast there IS doubt as to whether these two will ever end up in the finals playing each other!!

which i dont think will happen.

even so,i think roddick would win!!if these two were to reach the finals

  5. andy of course, cause he's winnig wimbledon this year!!!

is there anybody that has a doubt about it??? it's so ovbious!!

  6. This will ever happen.

  7. are you playing Top Spin 2 or Virtual Tennis 3? And what console are you playing on?- because surely you aren't talking about real tennis. Hopefully Roddick's "injury" gave him extra time to prepare for the grass season to get him further this year but he won't be getting to the finals. Nadal will be going this year and an injury won't be slowing him down this year while in the final. Now we all know Blake will c**p out somewhere in the 3rd or in the quarterfinals like he always does.

  8. That's funny ... Blake in the Wimbledon final ... that's real funny. Also, the idea that Roddick will ever make it again to a Slam final is pretty funny ... not laugh out loud funny, but almost. Alas ... i'd love to see Blake in a GS final but the chance of it happening is about the same as me dating Megan Fox.

  9. nice vivid fantasy there.... are u home sick today playing virtual tennis or just fantasing about tennis that will never happen...

if that was to happen roddick would win.. but they will never meet in the finals together.. no way..

  10. Assuming that this is a hypothetical question, I'll go with Andy Roddick and say that his overpowering serve will be too much for Blake to handle.  Blake will give him a tough match though and so I think it would go either 4 or 5 sets.

  11. Well since one of them would most likely have to beat Roger Federer on grass (his best surface) and neither of them is very successful in head to head matchups with him in general (let alone on grass), the liklyhood of this happening is slim to none. Federer is the 5-time defending Wimbledon champion and has never lost to either of them on grass! Andy Roddick provided that he has a very good draw and plays to the best of his ability (which hasn't been very often lately) could potentially make another Wimbledon final since grass is a strong surface for him. But Grass is probably Blake's weakest surface and he's never advanced very far at Wimbledon before.

But as a theoretical question alone: Roddick wins this match because of his superior serve. On grass, the player with the better serve will win 9 times out of 10. The only 2 exceptions to this rule that I can think of is Roddick vs. Federer (the GOAT and one of the GOAT's on grass) and Agassi vs. Becker. Becker had the superior serve but Agassi is the greatest returner of all time (though that didn't help him there against Sampras who was potentially the greatest server of all time). I also think Roddick wins because he is more comfortable on the surface than Blake. The one time they did meet on grass Blake won (7-5, 6-4) against an inconsistent Roddick. Blake then got torn apart by Lleyton Hewitt in the finals. But there is a big difference between a best 2 of 3 match at Queens Club vs. a best 3 of 5 match at the Wimbledon final. Experience alone would give Roddick better odds here.

  12. lol,

    funny man

this should be in the joke section, not the tennis section

  13. Are u for real.? "there is no doubt"? what tha??

RodDICK won't be making any final at wimbledon and certainly not Blake.

Now, if u were talking about Nadal v Federer or Nadal vs Djoker or Djoker v Federer, then yea i'll think u are sane but Roddick and Blake??.

  14. it will be nadal VS. federer finals again...

but IF that happened, i think andy can win,,,

  15. I think your 'When' should be changed to 'If'.

Andy Roddick would win because of his serve.
