  4. I always start on the barrel, just behind the girth. However, I think it's preferance as a friend of mine starts on the neck and another starts on the hindquarters.

  5. After many years of clipping I finally decided to start with the legs, then move to the head.  The body is the easy part.  I now do the hard parts first, before my arms get tired and before the horse is tired of standing there.  Once the legs & head are done the body is a snap.

  6. I used to always start on the hindquarters and work my way forward, then finish with the legs and head. However, I found that the horses tend to get antsy by the end, which makes the legs and head even harder. So my new way is that I get the legs and head out of the way first, then finish off with the body (still starting at the hindquarters) cuz it's the easy part.
