Question:

When Booking A Hotel..........?

I want to book a hotel room for my fiance for his birthday. His birthday is on January 2 close to the holidays. Should I book it now to avoid sold out rooms and picked over hotels or should I book it closer to his birthday to possibly get better rates and holiday discounts (if they exist)? Considering holiday travelers should I book it now or wait until later?

  1. It matters what type of hotel.

If its a regular hotel like Holiday Inn

Then they rarely book up. BUT if its a exspensive hotel like the Rennisance (downtown) then Yes you should book no or at least call to see if you should book

    GOOD LUCK

  2. Like the above answerer stated, it really depends on what type of hotel you are staying at on January 2.  If it is a more upscale hotel, I would book it now because those rooms are going to sell out faster than the Holiday Inns and such.  I doubt that you will get any better deals the closer you get to the date because it is the holiday season.  If I was in your position, I would reserve the room now.  Plus, depending on the hotel's cancellation policy, you may be able to cancel the reservation if a better deal does come up and then reserve a room again.
