  1. The bulk of a rabbit’s diet should be grass, timothy or oat hay, and fresh vegetables. You may also try giving a limited amount of pellets and a small amount of fruit to him or her. Dark leafy greens, broccoli, carrots, parsley, watercress, bananas, apples, pears, and pineapples are all good choices. Stay away from iceberg lettuce (too much water) or large amounts of cabbage (can give a bunny gas). Like dogs or cats, rabbits may be prone to begging at the table. As tempting as it may be to give your rabbit a taste of whatever it is that you’re eating, rabbits have digestive systems that are easily disrupted, so you should stick to his or her normal diet. Check with your vet before you add other treats.

Although rabbits clean themselves much as cats do, rabbits do not have the ability to cough up hairballs, so it is imperative that you groom your rabbit a least once a week. Most rabbits love the attention and grooming prevents digestive problems later in life.

  2. 3-4 months.

Here is some good diet info http://homepage.mac.com/mattocks/morfz/r...

He should really still be with mom.

  3. you can feed him vegetables as soon as you get him but you should not feed to much or else they get diariah. when they are 6 monthes than you can feed them a plate full a day. hope I helped!

  4. def not yet. stick to the dry mix and plenty of hay.  at about 15 weeks you can slowly introduce vegetables to him.

  5. I bought my fiance 2 dwarf lop rabbits 2 weeks ago. Before we got them i enquired as to your very own problem. I was advised by the breeder that fruit and vegetables should not be introduced until they reach maturity. They reach maturity at approximately 5 months. They have a very delicate digestive tract and introducing this food too early can cause problems, as in the runs, but also seriously shorten their lives as there stomachs dont develop properly if introduced too soon. I hope this helps.

  6. As a general rule, you should not feed a rabbit any greens until the are 6 months. No exception. We then are that old, they have pretty much reached maturity and you don't need to worry about them loosing weight.

  7. Hi, about 9-10 weeks i would say i follow this rules myself, but only in small amounts getting bigger as they grow. Although you can hand feed him weeny amounts now if you really want to,just make sure its very small. And what do you mean by 'Tasty treats'? As young bunnies up to the age of about 16 weeks shouldn't have ANY sugary treats i wouldn't even give them to my adult bunnies. But slithers of carrot, cabbage(NOT lettuce as this is sometimes poisonous to rabbits),parsnips, swede,or any other common veg. Fruit should not be given as often as i has a high sugar content. Hope this helps!!  P.S Polish rabbits are so cute!!
