Hi,

Just wondering when changing a babys nappy, after using the baby wipes yould you dry the bum with a cloth before putting the nappy on as the wipes are (wet) or would you put the nappy straight on.

Thank you

  1. I fan his bum with a clean diaper to let it dry faster, then I put it on. It's a plus that he loves the windy air on his bum lol

  2. Well, I don't, cause wipes aren't that wet, they don't leave them dripping or anything, so I just put the diaper on. It wicks away the moisture instantly and is such a small amount that it doesn't really affect anything.

  3. I let my wee ones air dry then put the diaper back on.

  4. I always sprinkle a little corn starch powder first to dry the area.

  5. I don't but it all depends on the child. If the wipes seems to irritate the bum then I probably would, but in most cases I don't think people do.

  6. I don't dry her.  It dries on it's own quickly enough.

  7. I let the bum naturally dry out by fanning it with another diaper. My baby just laughed and laughed when I did it and it got his bum nice and dry before putting the new nappy on.

  8. I don't dry her behind after using a wipe...I just put on the clean diaper

  9. It will dry on its own in a few seconds...

  10. I usually let the air dry it out a little. It's not a lot of moisture anyways so it really doesn't matter.

  11. I try to let my baby air dry a bit before putting a new diaper on.  But that method is a little like a ticking time bomb.  Maybe I will start drying her off with a cloth as well.

I think it is important to let them dry a little before putting the diaper on.  I know I wouldn't want to be all clammy and my baby hasn't had a rash yet!

  12. no

  13. Take care of your child as you would take care of yourself...would you like a wet or damp underwear on...of course not.   Definitely wipe baby dry before putting on a fresh dry diaper.   You can simply have a roll of toilet paper in your change bag and use that to give baby a dry bum before putting on new diaper or air baby dry is good even better if you have time that he/she can sit without a diaper for a bit.

  14. I know most dont but i personally  do

I buy those makeup circular things and just dry the area before i put on sudocreme or bepanthen

You get 100 for about $3 at pricline or woolworths and you only need one or two each change

  15. put the diaper straight on. ive never heard of someone drying the butt first.
