  1. I dont think so....they would have thought that he would be good, but not as good as he is today!

  2. i expect him to be good but i never expect that he would be one of the best point guard ever..

  3. Chris Paul had the speed and penetration skills but he didn't have a jumpshot in college, which caused him to slip in the draft as many teams thought he would be another T.J. Ford.  Milwaukee had the number 1 pick that year and they needed a big men so they took Andrew Bogut.  Atlanta fell in love with Marvin William's potential when he was projected as the #1 high school player a year before so they took the college freshmen with the #2 pick.  Utah had the #3 pick and between the 3 best point guards in the draft that  year (Deron Williams, Chris Paul, and Raymond Felton), Deron was (and looked) the closest thing to a Caucasian point guard and John Stockton's heir so they decided to go with looks over talent.  CP3 kinda felt onto New Orlean's lap with the #4 pick and they certainly don't regret being stuck in that position today.

  4. Well, if people knew, the Bucks or the Hawks would've nabbed him with the 1st and 2nd picks. I'd say Deron was worth the Jazz's money with the 3rd pick though

  5. anyone who knows basketball certainly expects him to be the one- as great point guards come every 5 years (or is it 10?)

  6. I knew he would be good but I didn't know he would be as good as he is now...he is my favorite player.

  7. Not to brag but i watched him in college and im a duke fan so i saw him a few times i really thought he should have gone 2nd in the draft with the hawks I kinda knew/hoped he would be great
