Question:

When Christians talk about morals shouldn't they be getting their own house in order?

This sort of thing is still happening, and happens a lot. I'm glad I don't have to go to church. I wouldn't feel safe, and how could anybody trust their kids in those places?

  1. As my grandma always said "People in guacamoli houses should not pass out tortilla chips!!!"

  2. Stop poking fun at christians. 56,000 pictures don't mean a thing. God made everything including those photos so they must be good because a reverend had them. He even loved them. How would you like it if Dracula (my favorite christian role model) were to poke fun at you?

  3. that's why i don't go to churches because i think that if you want to talk to god you don't need a vicar and you have to believe in the good in people although you never know what is there deep inside of them...

  4. We are all a work in progress.

  5. It's happening in the churches because the Devil is trying to weaken Christianity by planting some of his people in the church.  It's not too different from what goes on here, atheists try their best to move people away from religion even though this is a religion forum not an atheist forum.  God has a plan but so does Satan, it's pretty clear who here is part of which plan.

  6. Amen to that.  Judgement starts in our own house.  We ARE instructed to be held accountable to each other, as believers.

  7. Those of The Church(The True Christian Faith) are just as mortal as any other human being... And subject to the same temptations and trials as any other. And Christians succumb as do others. Christians are not immune to mental illness any more than any other.

What Christians have that others do not, is the assurance of God's free, and eternal, gift of Salvation.

I would rather children were in the care of those of The True Christian Faith than those who are of the belief that humans are no more than animals.  And that morals are whatever an individual wants them to be.

Schools are well known for covering up the moral corruption of the teaching "professionals"

  8. 1.)  Further proof that celibacy turns good people into bad.  Human beings all come equipped with an evolved set of instinctive sexual behaviors.  To deny such natural sexual instincts leads directly to perversity.

2.)  Most Christians don't even understand what being a moral person actually means.  Most simply assume having morals amounts to obeying the Ten Commandments.  Morals are another example of instinctive human behavior.  It's because we're all social animals, not because we have religion, that we humans have a sense of morality.

Notice that both perversity and amorality spring from denying instinctive human nature and replacing it with unsubstantiated superstitious mumbo-jumbo.  Christianity will continue to be the actual cause of much perversity and amorality, until Christians finally realize that forcing people to deny their humanity literally creates evil -- even among the best of us.  Pretending God and Satan actually exist certainly does not help people learn to understand their own nature.

  9. There have been times in the Christian church where those who have claimed to follow Christ have done horrible things. They have done these things not because Christ teaches them to, but because they have not listened to the word of God

This does not mean that Christianity is false anymore than the police force is false because one or two cops did bad things in the name of the law. Instead of looking at the two cops, the whole of the police force, its goals, other cops, and its history of sacrifice and protection must be examined as well. The same as Christianity. It has a great history of helping countless people, establishing orphanages, building shelters, helping famine ravaged countries, and seeking to aid the downtrodden.

If anyone wishes to condemn Christianity because of the failures of its members, then will they also look at its successes and approve of Christianity? It would only be fair to look at the whole of Christian history and more importantly at what the Bible actually teaches, in particular the New Testament, from which Christianity is derived.

  10. How young ARE you? Yes! There is sin in the world. How is telling us this helping you, OR us, strengthen OUR character?

  11. That is why God sent Jesus to die for our sins since we are all born sinners.

Remember, no one is perfect except Jesus.

  12. Forget p**n.

    Forget dirty priests.

Forget the fundamentalists trying to force their religion into politics.

These are all irrelevant when questioning someone who claims moral high ground after "basing their morals" on a book that promotes sexism, homophobia, racism, slavery, child abuse, genocide, and arranged marriage.  Anyone trying to claim the moral high ground with that backing them up is either a liar or an uninformed hypocrite.

Anyone basing their morals on this and merely accepting this due to fear of punishment- is a COWARD and a hypocrite.

  13. Statically the most dangerous place for a child is now in a church.

The stats on a random 'stranger danger' are about 1 in 150 million, chances a child will be randomly assaulted.

In a church the numbers are about 1 in 5000 as of late.

  14. Geez man don't you know Xians only want to control what others do. I see very little effort on their part to actually follow the guidelines set down by the bible or seek self improvement.

  15. Satan is the perfect strategist in a spiritual warfare. He attacks the leaders first. I suppose it would surprise you to learn that MOST child molesters occur among family relatives.

  16. Well to answer your main question - YES of course that is why Christ said "He that is without sin cast the first stone" obviously we ALL need to be looking at ourselves FAR more than throwing stones elsewhere - or pointing fingers at our neighbors.

Equally important though - we need to be teaching, directing, loving, caring for, leading and keeping safe our families & children in our homes and that will shield them many times from the evils all around us - be it at church, school or any where else in society where it exists.
