When Delta will fly non-stop from JFK to Mumbai (about 16 hrs.), will they fly from JFK eastwards to Mumbai..?

Probably never.  The main Delta hub is in Atlanta, so if Delta was ever to fly from North America to Mumbai, it would probably depart from Atlanta.

It is 6784 nautical miles from New York to Mumbai, going east.  The airplane can't do it the other direction, too far.
