  1. Tornado Season

Tornado season does not have a set start and end date. If the conditions are right for a tornado, they can occur anytime throughout the year. In fact, it depends on where you live in the US.

If you live more to the southern portions of Tornado Alley, tornadoes are more likely to occur in the late winter and early spring. The farther you live north, the more likely tornadoes are to occur in the latter parts of summer

  2. In southern states like Arkansas and Missouri, the peak of tornado season is March through May, while in the northern states, like Iowa and Illinois, ...

According to the Glossary of Meteorology (AMS 2000), a tornado is "a violently rotating column of air, pendant from a cumuliform cloud or underneath a cumuliform cloud, and often (but not always) visible as a funnel cloud." Literally, in order for a vortex to be classified as a tornado, it must be in contact with the ground and the cloud base. Weather scientists haven't found it so simple in practice, however, to classify and define tornadoes. For example, the difference is unclear between an strong mesocyclone (parent thunderstorm circulation) on the ground, and a large, weak tornado. There is also disagreement as to whether separate touchdowns of the same funnel constitute separate tornadoes. It is well-known that a tornado may not have a visible funnel. Also, at what wind speed of the cloud-to-ground vortex does a tornado begin? How close must two or more different tornadic circulations become to qualify as a one multiple-vortex tornado, instead of separate tornadoes? There are no firm answers.

  3. when they flick the switch mwhahahaha

  4. Technically, tornado season does not end, but there is a fairly distinct period of greater frequency, especially over the plains.  On average, the frequency of tornadoes begins to climb in February and March over the southern Gulf States, then it shifts northward across much of the central and southern plains in March through May, reaching the northern plains and the high plains in late May and June.  There is a weaker increase in tornado activity over the southern plains in October into November.  But again they can, and have, occurred there in any month.

  5. Usually in August

  6. Generally the end of March through the first of June, with the middle of April through the end of May being the peak days. You are most likely to see a tornado on May 15th, at 5pm, in Oklahoma City. Oklahoma has the most powerful tornadoes on the planet.

  7. i think it like april-june

  8. There is no specific tornado season in the US, but tornado occurances are associated with convective activity and that starts to fire up in March/ April for the most part..

There are tornado peaks however which you can use to mark a "season".

In the southern plains, late May tends to be the most active time in number of tornados.  In June/ July, the northern plains tend to be the most active.

Remember, as tornados are associated with convective activity, this is the time of year they start to fire up as warm, moist air comes up from the gulf and there is still a lot of cold air in place to the north.

I hope this helps answer your question.
