With the appointment of the Special Council, Gonsales is certain to be brought before a Grand Jury for purjery. Will Tony Snow continue to sneer and snicker about it after the indictment is handed down? Is that the best the White House has to offer? This is a constitutional crises of historic proportions and they are behaving like a bunch a teenagers who got caught smooking.

  1. just another Republican needing a pardon

  2. Yes, the White House will laugh about it.

Yes, Tony Snow will continue to sneer and snicker about it, because that reaction is warranted.

No, it isn’t the best the White House has to offer.

No, it isn’t a constitutional crisis, it is a party with a vendetta against the administration.

It will turn into the same crud that they got Libby on.  It is the investigation of something that was not a crime, to get an administration person on not being able to recall something of no significance.

  3. Why not? Bush will just pardon him.

  4. Nothing is going to happen. The federal judiciary is now in the control of Bush appointees.

  5. Your analogy is spot on--Bush is a frat boy who never really grew up.  Bush values loyalty over competency--and I'm hardly the first person to say this.  He gets rid of people who tell him what he does not want to hear.

I think the Dems are doing what they can, but they keep getting sand kicked in their faces by the White House bullies.

And as for political theatre, Bush is one to talk.  The man loves his prescreened sanitized photo-ops.

  6. Yes, because the person who will have to prosecute him is employed by President Bush and is not likely to cross him since we all know what happens to people who tell the truth or act honorably in opposition to Bush!

Know that saying "Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it"?  Perhaps Bush should have done a bit of reading because this is the same thing that happened to Nixon.

Hope they impeach Bush/Cheney/Rove and Gonzalez!

  7. Stamped.

    Regards

  8. And this silliness will help our country how? This is the same kind of BS pulled on Clinton. And you Bush haters can't see that or don't care. Get a f'n life for cryin out loud

  9. Justice must not tilt in favor of of influential people like Gonzales.  The case must be tried on merits and not on the position of the person.

  10. Good analysis of the White House reaction. I agree.

And yes, they probably will continue to ignore it.

  11. He blames this on the "theatrics" of the democrats.  Our government fulfilling their responsibilities with oversight is being ridiculed as one after the other falls from their own lack of respect for the law and the constitution.  It seems as if people don't understand what government is supposed to do anymore.
